Mrs. Josephine Garone, age 92, of Clintondale, went to be with the Lord, her husband and sons on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie with her family at her side.
She was born on June 3, 1918 in Manhattan. She was the daughter of the late Gaetano and the late Concetta (Carnazza) Castiglione. She married Joseph Garone Sr. on Feb. 6, 1938 in New York City. He predeceased her Nov. 18, 1992.
She was a member of the Plattekill Seniors and Golden Years Senior Citizens Clubs, Modena. She was a member of the Clintondale Friends Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia and husband Joseph Rizzo of Pinellas Park, FL; one son, Michael J. and wife Catherine Garone of Clintondale; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Raymond and Joseph Garone Jr.
