Onteora Central School District Superintendent Dr. Phyllis Spiegel-McGill announced that unfavorable results may be imminent due to changes made to 2012-2013 state standardized tests in elementary level English Language Arts and Math that will soon be released, and that reflect the new curriculum standards also known as Common Core. At a meeting of the Onteora board of education Tuesday, August 6, trustees and the superintendent discussed the possibility of a new administrative hire in order to cope with the changes.
