Crooner Chris Isaak first rose to fame when his songs, including "Wicked Game," appeared in the movie Wild at Heart. His resonant tenor offers a rockabilly sound that's equal parts Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. Dig the rocking blues of "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing." Isaak will come in to close out the Belleayre Music Festival season this Saturday, August 30th.

The pretty boy of rock - the guy who embraced supermodel Helena Christensen on the beach in the "Wicked Game" video, the guy who had cameos playing a sexy and suave guy on Beverly Hills 90210 and Friends - is more than a crooner. In the years since "Wicked Game," Isaak, who hails from the San Francisco Bay area, has starred in his own TV series, The Chris Isaak Show, and has never left the touring world. Why should he, considering how true he is to a unique sound? And by the way, he fronts a band that kills.

Isaak has a new album to be released by the end of the year. And fans can also look forward to seeing him stretch his thespian skills in the film adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' The Informers. He plays the hits, looks sharp; but expect a smattering of new tunes. Reserved seats are $75 to $45, $20 for lawn seating.

Tickets for the show are now on sale via TicketMaster.com and TicketMaster Express at (866) 448-7849. For additional information, please call (800) 942-6904, extension 344, or visit www.belleayremusic.org. The festival's e-mail address is festival@catskill.net.
