Fraser and Haas, an American and graduate of Juilliard, tour the world playing their infectious sounds. Their last album, Fire and Grace, was released to critical acclaim, receiving the Scottish equivalent of a Grammy. Copies of that CD as well as their latest album will doubtless be for sale at the venue.
This will be one of two concerts that Studio Red Hook, which also manages artists, plans to put on this year, noted Austin. Last year she brought Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill to St. Paul’s – a gig that has since been followed up by a performance at the White House. The two will be returning to Red Hook next March, so you don’t have to be a Beltway insider to enjoy an up-close-and-personal concert of the driving dance melodies and toe-tapping rhythms of these top performers. This Sunday’s concert is being sponsored by WKZE and Feather Ridge Farm.
Tickets for this April 10 concert are $30 general admission. Doors open at 6 o’clock, and the show begins at 7. Saint Paul’s Parish Hall is located at the intersection of Fisk Street and South Broadway in Red Hook. For more information and reservations, log onto http://bit.ly/dWIReR or call (845) 802-6515.
