I made it to only two and a half events at the Woodstock Writers Festival, all of them panel discussions, which were lively and various. If the readings, workshops, and previous panels were even half as engaging, the three and a quarter days were certainly a success, with an abundance of insights for writers and readers alike. I regretted missing Philippe Petit’s discourse on knots that saved his life, as reported in his book Why Knot?, but I heard a number of authors deliver witty and sage observations.
